Commercial and residential developers have shown a surge of interest in Oconomowoc as a place to build big projects.

From a proposed Mills Fleet Farm at Pabst Farms to three mixed-use condo developments planned downtown, it can be difficult to keep track of the whirlwind of new construction going on in the city.

To make sense of the construction boom in Oconomowoc, lakecountrynow.com has created a list of major development projects in the city as well as a building timeline when available.

Here are some of the largest projects being built in the city today:

Preserve at Prairie Creek
– Phase 3 of the Preserve at Prairie Creek apartment complex, once complete, will add 148 units to the development at the southwest corner of Lake Drive and Brown Street.
– Preserve at Prairie Creek had 228 apartment units before the most recent construction began.
– Prices range from $965 for one style of studio apartment to $1,765 for a three-bedroom unit.
– Timeline: The first new units opened in April, and Wangard Companies plans to open one building per month until October.
