Wangard Partners Inc. has proposed a new mixed-use development in the Fifth Ward/Walker’s Point neighborhood area. Freshwater Plaza’s potential development phases include:
- PH. 1 – 46,280 SF Cermak Fresh Market
- PH. 2 – 6,600 SF of retail including a potential financial institution building and two additional retail buildings
- PH. 3 – L-shaped, four-story mixed-use building – 16,645 SF commercial space and three floors of apartments
- PH. 4 – A future 50,000 SF Office building with parking structure
Freshwater Plaza is adjacent to the inner harbor, located between Rockwell Automation and the rail corridor. This prime development will be the gateway to the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences, one of the most highly publicized developments within the Milwaukee Water Corridor. Ten different governmental agencies and departments are involved in ensuring the success of this project.
