Milwaukee Tool is in the final stages of its $33 million, 230,000-square-foot expansion project that is expected to create nearly 500 jobs. Check out the attached slideshow to see photos of the new office space.The hand and heavy-duty power tool manufacturer, officially Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. but doing business as Milwaukee Tool, built a four-story office building as part of the expansion project announced in November 2016. The project also included another 30,000 square feet of new space, along with plans for two new facades, including one for the existing single-story west building — the largest building on the campus.The expansion is a collaborative effort between the company, the city of Brookfield, Milwaukee 7 and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC). Wangard Partners, the Sigma Group and Stephen Perry Smith Architects Inc. all worked on the project. Hunzinger Construction was the general contractor.The project is certified under the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. Enterprise Zone Program to earn up to $18 million in state income tax credits based on retention and creation of full-time employment positions and significant capital investment for both its Brookfield and Mukwonago facilities.
