Wangard Partners Inc.’s Avenir apartments in the Park East corridor near downtown Milwaukee has residents in two units and is on course for completion by the end of February.
See the attached slideshow for a first look into the 104-unit building at 1437 N. Jefferson St. The building is the first planned on the Park East block that Milwaukee-base Wangard is developing. Plans are in the works for a second neighboring apartment building. (See Friday’s edition of the Milwaukee Business Journal for more from Wangard Partners.)
“Site tours are bringing in a broad demographic of prospective tenants, including baby boomers and young professionals, some of whom are moving to Milwaukee from Chicago for jobs,” said Chad Venne, Wangard executive vice president of property management.
“Leasing efforts are ramping up now because leases are likely to expire for many in the area this spring,” said Lynn Buckley, consultant on the project with LB Consulting Services LLC, Greendale. About 200 people toured the building during construction and saw a model unit, and many are returning for a second look now that the building is almost complete.
Studios in the building range from $1,300 to $1,375 a month; one-bedrooms range from $1,480 to $1,610; and two-bedroom units are from $1,938 to $2,080. More details on the units and amenities can be found on the Avenir Apartments website.
