David F. Scherzer

Mr. Scherzer served as President/Principal of The Sigma Group, an environmental, civil engineering, owners representative corporation, from its founding in 1991 until 2022.

Presently, Dave functions as Executive Emeritus and member of the Board of Directors.  Prior to the founding of The Sigma Group, Dave served in various management roles for Chem Bio Corporation, including as President from 1986 until 1991.

Established in 1974, Chem Bio Corporation consisted of an environmental laboratory as well as a clinical laboratory, mobile health screening services including x-ray. With over 200 employees, Chem Bio provided laboratory services to a wide range of clients.

Dave has more than 45 years of experience in management and environmental compliance in the areas of industrial wastewater, hazardous materials (asbestos and lead), subsurface water, and vapors, air emissions, environmental chemistry, brownfield redevelopment, as well as civil site engineering.
