Wangard Partners Builds Better Buildings With Enduramax™
Wangard Partners, Inc. (WPI) is pleased to announce the implementation of a revolutionary new high-performance wall system that is making its debut in the Milwaukee marketplace; specifically on our Avenir Apartments development.THE DETAILS:Wangard has teamed up with Legat Architects (Chicago) and Oldcastle Building Products (Quebec) to bring a new high-performance wall system to the Milwaukee marketplace. The Enduramax™ system delivers a distinctive masonry aesthetic style and durability, while also incorporating energy-saving insulation with built-in moisture protection all as part of one continuous assembly. This new innovation in veneer systems is an evolution that engages new technology to achieve higher performance that exceeds the 2012 energy code requirements. This is attained by eliminating thermal bridging between construction components and creating a continuous highly insulated building envelope.CASE STUDY:Wangard has implemented this new system at our Avenir Apartments development located within the Park East Corridor at 1437 North Jefferson Street in Milwaukee. Avenir is currently the largest multistory building utilizing the Enduramax™ system within the Midwest and one of the largest applications of the system in the United States. Phase one of Avenir is in its final stages of construction to be completed in December 2014 and will feature 104 residential units with 7,072 square feet of retail space on the ground level and corresponding underground, covered surface and surface parking. Phase two will feature 94 market rate apartments and a future phase three development is being planned to include mixed-use residential and retail. The green roof and rooftop terrace will also feature one-of-a-kind views. Luxury-type amenities such as nine-foot ceilings within units, large windows that are nearly floor to ceiling height, a car charging station, a dog wash station and a yoga studio. All add to the excitement and appeal of this new development.“Wangard is passionate about creating sustainable as well as walkable neighborhoods. To that end, the implementation of the Enduramax™ wall system was an absolute fit for our Avenir Apartments development. We are so impressed with the results that we will continue to utilize this system on future developments. Our use of this system and its aesthetic appeal has generated interest, inquiries and tours with other local developers at the Avenir site. This is one of many ways Wangard is building better buildings and embracing sustainability as a way of life.”– Wayne Wiertzema, PresidentWangard Partners, Inc.
