She’s found her niche in real estate.“I’m never the person who has the vision,” she joked. “I’m the person in the office who’s crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s... I like the unsexy things about being a lawyer, the person behind the curtain.”After eight years with Foley & Lardner LLP, in 2013 she became the first-ever corporate counsel for Wangard Partners Inc., where she is learning about finances, politics and engineering.“My specialty is fancy financing,” Devitt said. “There are lots of moving parts, and everything is behind schedule all the time... It takes a little patience.”She played a critical role in negotiating the lease renewal for Artisan Partners at a Wangard building downtown.
